June 2011 Recap

We started off June with a trip to Destin, Florida for a family vacation together with another favorite family of ours.   Three years ago they were our neighbors, but have since moved to Texas but we've managed to still stay close...   We had a ball playing the sand and surf for a week...

For my birthday, we also went downtown and explored the canal.  I remembered to bring part of a loaf of bread and the kids had fun feeding the ducks.   We also took the kiddos to their first baseball game.   Uncle Tom & Steph and Grams joined in the fun...

And we wrapped up the month with a trip to the local 4th of July festival, held the weekend before the 4th.  There Tyler got a try out driving a firetruck...

The kids also enjoyed swimming lessons through the month.   A few pictures from our goggled adventure there...

May 2011 Recap

This spring was Alyssa's first season playing outdoor organized soccer.   She loved it.   So we began spending our Saturdays as soccer parents (which at times also made for a grumpy Tyler).

We took a trip to the legendary track to see the "racing cars"

And went downtown to see the parade for the race from the rooftop of Mike's office with cousin Harrison
