Visiting with Santa

We took a trip to our wonderful Children's Museum in the weekend after Thanksgiving with Grams, Uncle Jamie, Aunt Ericka & Harrison.   While we were there, we got to visit with Santa.   Tyler was less than enthusiastic about it, but Santa knew how to handle squirmy little boys.

Alyssa got a little one-on-one time with the big guy so that she could get her list in...

And then the kids took a ride down the big slide...

We had a lot of fun looking at the amazing Chihuly glass display.

And one more time down the slide...

"Tree" Lighting

We've made it a family tradition to head downtown the day after Thanksgiving and watch the city turn on our 'tree' at the circle. We get a great vantage point from the roof top of Mike's office building. It's fun, the kids will tell you there are cookies (the highlight of the night for them) and a great way to kick off the holidays...

The aftermath

After wrapping up our trick-or-treating, we bundled up and passed out candy at our house, and then went next door to hang out with neighbors.  The kids enjoyed some of their goodies...

Happy Halloween!!

We had a great time trick-or-treating this year.  Uncle Jamie and Aunt Ericka came down to visit so we got to trick-or-treat with Harrison on his first Halloween, too!   The kids really got into it this year.   Tyler kept saying 'more treats' as we went from door to door.  And he kept his costume on!   I was skeptical that he would after trying to bribe him for days to put it on with no success.  Our Cinderella was quite beautiful, too!

The night before Halloween, the kids' school had a trick-or-treat party, so we got to practice wearing our costumes and got to hang out with some of our buddies.

 And now...Halloween night

Visiting the Pumpkin Patch and Headless Horseman

We enjoyed a fabulous fall day out at the Pumpkin Patch and then later visited Conner Prairie's Headless Horseman.  Alyssa insisted that we pick out the 'perfect pumpkin' at the pumpkin patch.

Tyler having a terrible two moment.  Fortunately, it was short lived.
